Success Stories
Every year, roughly 390,000 dogs are euthanized in U.S. shelters. Not because they’re unlovable, but because they’re overlooked with nowhere to go.
So many others are abandoned, left to live alone & survive in harsh conditions.
We’re deeply grateful for our community of rescue friends, fosters, and adopters. Your love and care gave all of these dogs a second chance.
With the help of our incredible rescue partners—especially Shannon at Green Heart Rescue in Boise—she was saved at the very last moment and transported to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. River was timid, untrained, and in need of patience, stability, and care.
We told ourselves we were fostering her, but the truth is we never really tried to find her another home.. She already had one. River is now a permanent part of our pack, we love her SO much, and she and Luna are the best of friends.
River (formerly Belinda) was rescued from Downey Shelter in Los Angeles, where she was scheduled to be euthanized after receiving no interest. The shelter estimated her to be eight years old. She was severely underweight, with patchy fur loss caused by skin allergies and malnutrition.
Cali was found living under an abandoned house near Palm Springs in 100+ degree heat, raising four babies on her own. With some real-life lassoing, our rescue friends caught her, and we brought them all to safety. Now they’re thriving, adventuring, and completely adored in their forever homes.
June was rescued from Palm Springs after surviving as a stray and raising multiple litters. She had an injured paw and four babies when we found her. We brought them to Coeur d’Alene, got her spayed to end the cycle, and now she and her puppies are all thriving in their forever homes.
This sweet girl was found in an unhoused community in Palm Springs, hiding under a trailer after days missing—weak, not eating, and barely able to walk. She had a broken femur from abuse. After surgery in Mexico and five months in a loving foster, she finally found her forever home. She’s fully healed and deeply adored. Her name is now Esme.
Back home, they lit up seeing Luna again. After vet care and decompression, Daisy was adopted by a wonderful local family, and we roadtripped Lily to her forever home in Utah—with our lifelong best friends.
Lily & Daisy were rescued alongside Luna years ago, but heartbreakingly ended up in another difficult situation. When we found out, we immediately picked them up—both deeply matted and shut down.
With time, he felt safe, healed, and his sweet, goofy personality came out. He got healthy, was treated for a chronic ear infection, and eventually found an incredible family from the Seattle area. Now he’s deeply loved, hiking and running every day—finally living the life he always deserved.
Jasper is so special to us. He was found abandoned in a backyard after his owners moved—starving, trapped, and with torn ears from trying to escape. When he first arrived, he was shut down and terrified of being left again.
These sweet babies were rescued from Southern California in heartbreaking condition—extremely malnourished and covered in ticks.
We partnered with another rescue who took the rest of the group, while we brought four of them up with us to start their new lives. They were diagnosed with Ehrlichia (a tick-borne disease) and, after a few weeks of antibiotics, made a full recovery.
They slowly gained weight and started to feel safe. One by one, they each found their forever homes.
Now known as Angie, Onyx, Ozzy, and Wren, they’re all thriving—and still so loved by the families we stay in touch with today.
Shadow is an 80-pound love who was abandoned at a local boarding facility.
When we first brought him home, he was incredibly shut down and scared. The noise and activity at the facility had been overwhelming for him for so long, and he was especially fearful of men. He wouldn’t make eye contact and would cower next to them. After a day or so, he began to warm up a little, and with time, patience, and space to decompress, he slowly started to really feel safe.
After a few weeks of quiet time and walks in the woods with our dogs, Shadow came out of his shell and showed us the giant puppy he truly is. By the end of his time with us, he was running at us full speed to play and insisted on sleeping right on top of us every night.
Shadow was adopted by an amazing local family and now lives up near Priest Lake on his own 20 acres—exactly the life he was meant for.
